Six weeks...seven

So my intent to update weekly has been challenged as Will and Ada continue to grow and be awake for longer periods throughout the day. Their schedules have become pretty unpredictable in this time...not surprisingly they don't always want to sleep, eat, or play together! Fortunately for me, they also seem to not like to be fussy, or as the text books call it "high need", at the same time either. So the end result is me spending my days bouncing from one baby to the other. The brief moments where they are both down for a nap are my time for every thing else...I do give a little cheer when that happens!

They have had a busy couple weeks though. Growing, as Ive said. I have had to pack up some newborn clothes as both of the babes have outgrown them. Their hair is also growing, including eye lashes. They are seeing more and further away, now noticing when I enter a room. And they now have tears to make their crying official! I have started venturing out by myself with both of them which was a big accomplishment--I had to chuckle when they both cried in my OB Gyn's waiting room, scaring all the pregnant ladies in the place! Uncle Ed, Aunt Erin, and cousin Nabina were in town over the weekend to meet and have fun with. And they went to their first spring training game--go Brewers!

Five weeks

Hello bloggers! Welcome to week five of the Gentry twins! :)

Life here continues to fly by. These guys are awesome. Growing like champs. Glowing parents are relishing every squeak, sigh, and sneeze! Also rumor has it that they had their first four hour stretch of sleep! (hasn't happened on my night shift yet--just dad's!) *Fingers crossed*

We got wheels! Enter the BOB--our means to leave the house every day (after some effort!) for a much needed change of scenery. Tucker does not approve, although starting to warm up to the idea.

Four weeks old

Our first month with the twins has been so fun! Ada and Will are growing everyday-- awake more and more--showing us their personalities more and more! Its pretty awesome to have two kids at the same time, watching subtle differences between the two side by side, at the exact same age... things we may not appreciate or remember if we had them apart.

So far Ada is the diva of the pair. She has a flair for the dramatic and dare I say a bit of a temper on her?! The spikey hair suits her well! Will is more of a sensitive soul...he talks from the heart and has the most expressive faces! He loves a snuggle and can tell the instant he is not in our arms!

We also had another reason to celebrate this week as it was James' birthday! We celebrated with great friends, Dad and Julie, steak and wine. Thirty-two is looking to be a great year!
