2011 has started off great. Ada and Will had their first overnight without mom and dad. Grandma Cindy and Chip babysat new years eve so mom and dad could ring in the new year with too much bubbly without a cheery 6am wake up call. They had a blast.
Ada and Will, now 11 months old, are more interactive with the world than ever. Firstly, they have ditched their training wheels and are walking hands-free! They love to tromp and dance (!) around the house. Will's "dance" is to walk around, sometimes in circles, flapping his hands in the air, like a bird flapping his wings. Ada loves to groove; she will bounce in place to the beat (she loves Usher), and pump her arm out like punching a punching bag. Sometimes she'll be pointing her finger in the air while doing it, and it looks verrrry disco!
They are turning into kids right before our eyes. Will gives great bear hugs, Ada is our little imitator (blows kisses, sticks out tongue, claps), and they both love to wrestle--each other, mom, dad, dogs. A spatula in my shower, eye shadow in our oven broiler, and an (OLD!) unused pregnancy test at the front door, are just a few examples this week of our upside house, courtesy of our joyfully curious children!

New Years day, Ada dancing with Grandma Cindy and Chip

Colander fun, fishy butt

Squeaky clean Will, Nalgene cap in tow, in route from bath to pj's. My mom thinks he looks like ET walking around with his towel on his head. Kinda sounds like him too :)
Among her many talents, Ada has taken quite a liking to climbing. She is undoubtedly our little daredevil, gearing us up for when she wants to bungee jump, parachute out of planes, scuba dive...get a drivers license...

(...this one cracks me up...found her this way just walking past the living room...sitting in her toy bucket, talking to her stuffed dog...)

...and its rubbing off on Will. Here, taken to a new level, the twin climb into the Tupperware drawer after pulling it out of the cupboard.

Ada and Will love to be outside. Climbing, swinging, and mastering the slide.

Big boy "eating" with bowl and spoon.

Bro and sis get a kick out of each other.

Toothy grin. Ada has four teeth, Will has six.

Kleenex box casualty.

Ada reading her favorite book "Numeros". Ada in particular, loves to read. I often catch her alone reading her books. Her brother usually gets in on the action. And usually relocates the books to various hiding spots throughout the house!
