Speaking of mouth, Will and Ada had the exact same teeth pop through the gums one day apart. Both are sporting their two bottom teeth on their goofy smiles in true twin form. They continue to broaden their daily menu of human food. Sweet potatoes and bananas are still hometown favorites. Ada likes broccoli, Will prefers tart sweets like apples and plum. They have also started sporting sippy cups and gumming wheat puffs (like Cheerios). James especially is pumped that they can hold their own bottles now. Oh and mouthing off! Both feeling more confident in their conversational skills, "dae-dae-die, yay-yai-yai" all day long. To themselves, each other, space. Sometimes catch them waking up from a nap talking to each other, crib to crib. Also love to hear Will whisper while concentrating on something very important, like the Tupperware drawer.
Since we've last talked, we had a fun, full house weekend. My college roommates and I get together yearly for a girls weekend, and this year we decided to include babies and husbands at our house! I loved having my girlfriends here for a weekend of baby playing, pool lounging, and talking nonsense (not when we were talking of Sara's upcoming wedding of course!). James was a hosting rockstar--taking bedtime duty, making dinners, cocktails, and grocery store runs! I wish they would all move in. Also our friend Sofia Doneski turned 3. We partied.
Thanks for stopping!
Again my trials of attempting a couple of "hey we're 7 months old now!" pics...
...Will thinking through his plan of attack...
...Ada starting to get worried...
...Ada making her getaway.
Could only get Will on his heart pillow for 5 seconds by stringing it full of garbage. Clearly monthly photos are no longer a one woman job!

Ada I could trick for a second or two longer.

Welcome Corey to the Gentry blog! Our friend came with mom Rachel and dad Graham for girls weekend. Corey is four months older than Will and Ada, and the kids loved having him here. Will especially was enthralled with every move that boy made. Here I guess learning to clap hands.

Could not resist the hilarity of this picture of Corey and Graham splashing it out, courtesy of Rachel Sievers. Love these guys.

Ladies and babies. Sawra, where are you?

Cuddling it out! Sara gave Ada her first hair cut! She is now sporting an irresistibly cute NY style bob cuz we be very trendy like that in our house. Also, Sara made us realize we were growing a dreadlock on the back of Ada's head :) I imagine many a phone calls to Auntie Sara from Ada in the years to come..."Auntie S! Mom wont let me dye my hair! or buy high heels! or pluck my eyebrows!" :) At least we both agree that she cant date until she's...30.
BTW, whatta rock on that hand of yours S! You must have yourself quite the man in the big city! (He could move in too you know!)

Buds in beer box.
In a baby jumpy castle at Sofia's bday party.
Will hanging out at the party. I think he was trying to pick up some chicks.
What? Princess garbage?! Will will take care of that!
Before. Ada happy at a princess bday party.
After. Making a break for it.
Caught by tia, Rachel. Best nanny ever!
Ada's love affair with Tully and Tucker.

Tucker never far from the kids. Now he has to watch his tail!
Summer kid, watermelon break from swimming.
Have been dying to catch Ada in one of her quick, but frequent, plank position poses. She usually does this in between crawling from here to there. She must think she is picking up speed when she does this. Definitely earns style points.
Bright eyes ready for lunch.
A boy and his bug.
Common scene in our crib. Will climbing over Ada (yes, sometimes he gets stuck). Here in our am pjs, posing for a "hey mom". Although all over the house at any given second, these two always seem to be in on it together, never far from one another. Bunch of twins...
Such happy little babes :)
ReplyDeleteAnd seriously, can that first picture be any cuter?! hilarious.
