July 2012

My little squirmy babies are turning into real live kids right before my eyes. A couple of my favorite things lately is their inability to remember the word "popsicle". Popsicle= "popcorn" every.single.time. so that now popsicles are just naturally referred to as "popcorns" in our house. And it is said often. Also Ada has learned the phrase "Whats the big idea?" from who knows where and springs it out in hilarious times. She also says she dreams of "sharks" pretty much every morning when I ask her. When asking what the sharks were doing she always replies "playing in my dreams", in her sleepy morning, waking up voice. There's also lots of "check it outs" and "check ya laters" which is also good for a giggle. They also definitely believe they are the funniest. Which they are.

"Uncle" Tonys birthday party at Mary Coyles, a Phoenix treasure of a diner/ice cream shop. Here with their best good buddy Sofia doing some counter swirling.

Ice cream please!
Happy birthday with the boys.

Girls just wanna have fun.

We joined Sofia, Leah, and Kiva for the girls end of the summer swim lessons pool party at a local city pool and this was pretty much the look on the kids' faces the whole time. A bit big kid, over stimulating. Was fun to catch a glimpse of whats to come though!

It monsoooooned! We promptly all ran outside to puddle jump. Ada fully dressed. Will fully UNdressed.

Involved game of train-track-tunnel.
Involved snack time.

A needed, uneventful morning home= all bedding in the kitchen.
...or in the bathroom. Sure.

This is the look of a girl who talked her mom into veggie corndogs for breakfast.
Kids day at the Heard Museum with Grandma Cindy.

Ada's native arts and crafts.

With ice cream sandwiches to boot!

"you know how to eat this thing?"
Will and Ada's first trip to the AZ puppet theater! Tia, Uncle AJ, and even "uncle" Paul came with us for the showing of "Old MacDonald". Yep, he had a farm. Here is a little pre-show "If you're happy and you know it". That's how you warm up a crowd of two year olds.

Will and Ada anticipating show time. Will brought his naked baby. Ada doing her latest nervous thing, plugging her ears. She sat like that for about ten minutes.

Post show, meet the actors.
Big time family fun day--Ice skating! In the desert! In July! Strange, but true. And so fun.

There is a reason there is only a picture of Ada standing in her skates. All of Wills are a blurry, mid-fall, shadow of a boy.
Hanging on...
...letting go...
...taking an ice snack break. (ick.)
Will, however, no problem standing in his Tia's high heels. Strutting stick in hand. Very rock n roll.

  1. I honestly don't think I can say it enough - those kids are so wonderfully adorable.

That serious face on Will at the pool party is such a Will face, I feel like I have that same pose in multiple pictures throughout his life.
Ada eating the ice? disgusting. but so cute.

Things I especially love: "popsicles", Ada plugging her ears when she's nervous, Will's love of my high heels (and the fact that he can walk better in them than I can), the adorable mama/daughter/ice cream pic, and Will's cute little tush in the rain :)
