8 months old

We're standing! Since we've last updated Will and Ada are no longer simply crawling all over my house, they are now climbing all over it as well. Will started pulling himself up to standing on various tables and chairs in the house, and it has quickly graduated to more complex destinations like the stroller basket, recycling bin, potted plants... Ada has followed suit and the two of them are getting into all sorts of trouble.

Now more than ever Will and Ada seem to grow leaps and bounds every day. For example, something I didn't appreciate about standing is that at some point I had to learn how to get back "down". Ada spent the first few days of standing stuck. She would get herself to standing, having lots of fun, but then quickly realize she didn't know how to get back down. She would get scared and cry until James or I would rescue her behind back to the ground. This made for a couple of very interesting bed times, as Ada would promptly stand up in her crib, get stuck, and howl until rescued. Repeat, repeat, repeat. But then one day she learned to lower herself to the ground by hanging onto the table and lowering her booty back down to sitting. No more crash landings or howls, just like that. And it took exactly one day for Will to realize that dogs are not the only creatures that can think toilet bowls are awesome. Thus, bathroom doors in our house remain closed all day now (ew). But glowing with pride nonetheless at their inquisitive little selves. Quick little buggers too. I wonder if my 9 month update will be about them walking?! Gasp.

The best we got for our 8month heart photo. It's like a wrestling match now. Not as bad as diaper change time however. You'd think we were torturing them now they protest a diaper. Some people's kids...

Grandpa Brian was back for weekend! Kids wore him out, but did give him company during Badger and Packer games. Dad being here also allowed James and I to go on our first date together alone since Will and Ada have been born. Sushi and Kirin never tasted so good!

Sporty spice would only leave her hat alone on her head when it was tilted to the side like this. Straight forward, she pulls it off. Such a diva.

Breakfast scene. Blueberry cereal. Love Ada posing in the background.

Bath time fun. We're running out of room in our baby tub! Love to chomp their washcloths while squealing...kicking...then screaming at each other.

I entitle the following few pics "Mischief"

...Love the dogs' water dish!

Unloading the recycling bin...

...reorganizing the Tupperware drawer...

Their bouncy chairs have become jungle gyms. Remember when they were too small to fit in these things?

Will's bottom teeth, wrestling mom.

Will's hair looking great these days, curls!

Also talking more. Will seems to have figured out "da-da" when mom is home. "ma-ma" all day when dad is home.

Dual jumpers

Daddy's little helpers...

Also remember this little lady shared nap time in this play pen with her brother at one time. Now barely fit.

Classic Will snooze, feet tucked in. Ada loves to sleep on her side, hands folded.

Sleeping at the dinner table.

Amigos.

Will at another princess Bday party. He liked the crowns. Sorry future Will.

Ada having her first lime with "uncle" Steve.

Leah's 1st birthday party was full of balloons, which Will and Ada thought were awesome, chasing around all day. Here Will whining, Ada squealing.
