A&W vacation from mom and dad

wedding pics courtesy of the lovely and talented Talli Pinhasi

The end of June was BIG for a couple reasons. James and I took our first vacation without the kids since they've been born--for a whole 8 days--Whaaa?! And no. 2, our beloved "Auntie" Sawra got hitched to (now) "Uncle" Brian! It was a beautiful day under the Pennsylvania clouds and a great trip with Sara, Brian, and the OBrien clan, and my old college friends (yes, we are getting old). Also included was a handful of days in NYC where we got some sans kids urban life and caught up with some more buds! Also, I took naps, slept in, and drank HOT coffee. Reaaaal novelties.

We missed our little bambinos very much but they were in such good hands! Their super nanny, Aunt/Tia Rachel and soon to be FORREALS UNCLE AJ (did I mention June was BIG?!) picked up the ball last minute to be large and in charge of Will and Ada for the week. They had an army of friends and Grandma with Chip to help. We are still amazed at the insta-willingness of our AZ family to help us out and are eternally grateful for everyones help and love while James and I got away. What better act of friendship can one give but to love a pals kids? And we returned with a slew of pics from Rach to share Will and Adas first vacation from mom and dad! Hope you all enjoy and much as we did!

Content as can be with their Tia. We couldnt have gone away without her!

Window watchin'

Hey! Who's watching who?

We LOVE this bucket right now. It is the perfect sittin' size for their 17month old body.

One of my all time Rach/Ada faves

AJ and kids playing army, Im sure.

A mister wind storm! Feels good at the desert farmers market in summer.

Sure to be an all time fave of AJ and kids. Lounge-y.

Dana the eternal baby charmer. Will fell asleep on her while swimming of all things?!

Thats it! We're fencing you in!

Who's more captivated by AJ's juggling skills--Will, Ada, or Tucker?

More charmin'...

Sweet faces.

Seriously!? The face!

Um, clearly Tony was not in charge.

Rach putting Will to work, helping water the strawberry plants.

Sprinkler fun!

This one included to assure me that the week WAS actual work ;)

  1. AMAZING! Rach and A.J. played mom and dad for the whole 8 days?! That is so, so cool. Looks like the babes were (mostly) fine with it, too! Hooray!
